Labrinth ft. Zendaya, “All For Us” from Euphoria. This is one of those songs that I’ll forget about for a little while, and then I’ll hear it on a playlist or it’ll come on as the soundtrack to something, and it will be all I listen to for 3 weeks. I think I listened to it for about an hour straight the other day. That beat drop? That SECOND beat drop? Are you kidding me?
Knitting with my grandmother’s needles. I received Nonna’s entire crafting kit this year for Christmas, a year out from her passing. Everything about it is just so singularly her, from the perfect leather of the bag to the fact that she carried her needles in an empty Pringles can, to the unfinished baby blanket in the bottom of the pack. I pulled it out and immediately started sobbing. Christmas Eve was a lot this year.
My new Garmin Forerunner 245. I got it from my husband for Christmas and it has changed my running game. I’m no Molly Seidel, but I’m working very hard to get speedier, and this is making me watch my times and adjust my pace. Yesterday I ran my fastest ever 5k at the ripe disgusting age of 38: 28 minutes, 40 seconds. Did you know running fast makes you want to eat everything in your fridge, plus maybe a shoe? Wild stuff.
